University of Arkansas Economic
Development Institute (UAEDI) Mission:

UAEDI's mission is to enhance the economic and social well-being and prosperity of the people of Arkansas by extending University of Arkansas programs, as appropriate, in partnerships with others having similar interests.

UAEDI has an ongoing and evolving partnership with the Crossroads Coalition, the Cornerstone Coalition, and the new West-Central Arkansas Regional Development Parnership that has been recently formed. UAEDI's role is to help these coalitions create a new approach to broad-based (economic, community, education, and leadership) development in Arkansas by helping them leverage their assets through linkages with higher education and others with a similar interest, especially in rural communities.
