TO ALL UAEDI COLLEAGUES:

REMINDER: The upcoming UAEDI Meeting is to be held:

Tuesday
September 21, 2004
2:00 – 3:30 pm
Arkansas Union
Rooms 509-511

PURPOSE: The purpose of the meeting is to get input on how best way to structure SEED so that it can help link the needs of communities for broad-based (economic, community, educational, leadership) development to the needs of college and university faculty for “real world” class projects that offer professional and personal satisfaction. Most of the program will be devoted to discussion groups.

“ASSIGNMENT” FOR COMMUNITY PARTICIPANTS: If applicable, please come prepared to suggest opportunities for SEED projects in your communities. Topics can relate to any area of broad-based development (Economic, Community, Education, Leadership). A short written summary would be a great way to share the opportunity.

“ASSIGNMENT” FOR FACULTY/STAFF PARTICIPANTS: If applicable, please come prepared to mention opportunities for SEED projects in classes offered at your college or university. Topics can relate to any category of study (culture, environment, health, information, learning, management and technology). A short written summary would be a great way to share the opportunity with others.

AGENDA: We hope that you can participate in this exciting opportunity to begin expanding the linkage between higher education and the communities in our state. The agenda is as follows:
