Below you will find information about the the SUMMIT Project Proposal Form and Instructions:

The electronic Summit Project Proposal Form (pdf) is intended for use by Crossroads Coalition members, County Group Coordinators, Faculty members, EAST Lab coordinators, or individuals or organizations that want to propose a project for the Crossroads Coalition Student-Community Summit. Detailed information on how to fill out this form is in the SUMMIT Project Proposal Submission Instructions (pdf).

Downloads

Completing the form electronically requires Adobe Acrobat version 7.0 or higher. Download the current version (Acrobat 9.0) free from this direct link Adobe web site or from the Adobe webpage ( http://adobe.com ).

Completing the Form

Fill out as much of the form as you have information to complete. Required fields (outlined in red in the pdf form) are:
Project name (short but descriptive),
Brief description of the proposed project,
Name and contact information for the person proposing the project and the person completing the form, and
Submission date

All other information is helpful, but not required. You can select fields with a mouse or tab between fields.

Printing the Form
The filled out form cannot be saved by Acrobat. If you select “Save,” it will save a blank copy of the form.  You can print out a copy of the form with your data by either:
1) selecting the printer icon from the Acrobat toolbar or
2) selecting the “Print Form” button at the top of the form

Submitting Your Data Electronically
Once you have completed the form, there are three ways to submit your data electronically. The way you choose to use will depend on which type of e-mail software you are using. In every case, when you select the “Submit Form” button at the top of the Form, the Select Email Client dialog box will open with more information. Saving the Form
In Adobe Acrobat, you can save a blank copy of the form to use for submitting additional proposals.
1)    From the File menu, select Save a Copy.
2)    The Save A Blank Copy of this Form dialog box will come up and ask if you want to save a blank copy. Click “Save a Blank Copy” at the bottom of the box; select a location on your computer to save the form. You can rename the file, but do not change the file extension (.pdf) or the form will become inoperable.

Overview

SEED (Students Engaged in Economic Development) is a type of service learning program at the University of Arkansas where class projects associated with for-credit curriculum-based courses target the needs of communities (defined as any public or private entity in any geographic location), and where the additional expenses for such projects are provided by sponsors. There has been an average of 3 projects per year in Arkansas since SEED began in 2003.

 
SEED Expansion and the Crossroads Coalition
The Crossroads Coalition has been partnering with the University of Arkansas during 2007 on Phase 1 of a plan to greatly expand the SEED program in the Region.
